Alvaro Negredo Sanchez (born 20 August 1985 in Madrid, Spain), nicknamed La fiera de Vallecas (The beast of Vallecas), is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Valencia CF in La Liga.
Negredo started his career at local Rayo Vallecano, making his professional debuts in early 2005 with the team in Segunda DivisiÃ³n B. In July 2007 Negredo was sold to La Liga newcomers UD AlmerÃa, with Real Madrid having an option to re-buy, Negredo finished the season as AlmerÃa's topscorer with 13 goals. In 2009, Negredo was sold to Sevilla and made his debut on August 2009 in a match against Valencia.Over the course of six seasons, he amassed La Liga totals of 209 games and 102 goals. On 19 July 2013, Manchester City announced the signing of Negredo on a four-year deal for a fee reported to be £16.4 million Negredo made his league debut on 19 August 2013, in a 4-0 home win against Newcastle United. After a fantastic season scoring many goals during the first leg of the tournament, Negredo and his team achieved the Premier League and the FA Cup. In the summer of 2014, after the buisiness man Peter Lim bought Valenci CF, asked Manchester City for loaning Negredo to the team from the Turia capital.
Negredo made his debut with the senior National team in 2009, during the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifyings. He also represented his national team during the UEFA Euro 2012.
